The final draft of the Assam NRC was published on July 30, 2019. In the Assam NRC final draft, as many as 40 lakh applicants found their names excluded out of the 3.29 crore registered names. A total of 36.2 lakh had claimed inclusion in the final draft of Assam NRC.
The Assam NRC final list, however, will be published on Saturday and it will include the names of all the citizens who have been residing in the state before March 25, 1971. Here's how you can check your name in the Assam NRC final list:

1. Visit the official website of NRC - nrcassam.nic.in
2. Click on the tab which says 'complete draft NRC is now active'
3. Enter your ARN to check your name (Your ARN number is printed on the front page of your NRC form)
4. Enter the CAPTCHA code and hit on search
5. Your name would be displayed on the screen if it has been included in the final NRC list.
In case the server of the official website is down, you can also visit your nearest NRC Sewa Kendra and check your name in the final list.
It should be noted that the online facility will only reflect the result of any change in the status of the applicants. The status of all the NRC applicants would be available online from September 7.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday appealed to the people in the state to not panic if their names do not appear in the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) to be published on August 31.
He said the Union Ministry of Home Affairs had already made clear the steps to be taken and procedures to be followed in case of exclusion of names from the Assam NRC final list.
